The Lincoln Trail District Health Department inspects all private and parochial schools serving kindergarten through 12th grade twice each year to ensure compliance with Kentucky school sanitation regulation.
Inspectors check for adequate lighting, proper waste disposal, cleanliness, proper maintenance and safety throughout the school. Chemicals are checked for proper labeling and storage and the building is inspected for possible rodent and insect infestation. Also, playgrounds are examined to ensure good repair and safety.
