During adolescents, health education is especially important. This period of transition from childhood to adulthood is full of new experiences and developmental milestones.
We want to ensure adolescents have the education they need to keep their bodies healthy, from knowing which foods are healthy and understanding the importance of physical activity to understanding self-esteem and healthy relationships.
As importantly, we want youth to be armed with information that will help them steer clear of risky behaviors that can affect their health and safety.
Most commonly, we provide health education to adolescents through schools. Our staff is available to speak to classes or at assemblies and other events. We are qualified to address a long list of topics including tobacco, alcohol and drug prevention as well as bully, which we view as a public health problem.
